What is the difference between yogurt and Greek yogurt?
Greek Yogurt is thicker and creamier as compared to normal yogurt, as a large part of the natural whey (liquid) is removed from the product. This is done through a traditional process of straining, which makes the product high in protein. Greek Yogurt has double the amount of protein and half the amount of fat and carbohydrates as compared to any regular yogurt.
What's so Greek about Greek yogurt?
The technique of straining the yogurt and removing the whey which in turn makes it thicker and creamier than regular yogurt is an ancient Greek technique.
